Spouse and a House

January 13, 2019

Unto Him be a spouse and a house in the Church.  This must be the intent of the heart of our LORD?  Isn’t finding a spouse and forming a house our priority in the faith?  Surely accomplishing this deed exalts the Name of our LORD?  I think not.  The Scripture reads, ‘Unto Him be Glory in the Church.’  It has always been, is, and will always be His Glory that exalts His Name in the eyes of the nations.  And it is His Glory that sets His people apart from the nations not our marriage status, garments, or other externalities.  Elevating the act of finding a spouse and forming a house to the pinnacle of the faith makes the Name of our LORD common in the eyes of the nations.

Whether pursuing the Spouse and a House, Kingdom Now, or Health, Wealth and Prosperity doctrine each indicates our love for this life as being greater than our love for the LORD.  To love the LORD with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength is to desire His Glory so that His Name might be exalted among the nations!  His Name is not exalted by the placing of cups, forks, and plates in the appropriate place on the table, dancing in a circle, or the acquisition of a spouse and a house or even a car for that matter.  Those things might be a blessing, but they have nothing to do with glorifying the Name of the LORD in the eyes of the nations.  Don’t the nations also find a spouse and a house then set their cups, forks, and plates on the table?  These things are common when considered with the exalted preeminence of the LORD of Glory!

One can understand why God’s people would seek some way to honor Him other than desiring His Glory.  The Glory is preceded by suffering.  Our call as His people is to join the Messiah Yahshua (Jesus) in the fellowship of His sufferings.  How else can His true nature be demonstrated?  My friends, to desire His Glory requires an eternal mindset.  One cannot be fixated on the cares of this world and what this life has to offer while seeking to demonstrate His Glory.  But while the cost of seeking to demonstrate His Glory is extremely high, it is worth everything when revealed!  After a year of suffering, I recently experienced one of those precious moments when the LORD revealed His Glory at one of the spas that I frequent.  To see those dear young Israeli faces basking in the Glory of the LORD makes everything that preceded that heavenly moment worth the cost!  I will never forget the looks on their faces—they were home!

The heavenly call to the Church, Ephraim, wild olive branches, or whatever you want to call those sheep in the other pen is to provoke Jacob to jealousy.  This is done by demonstrating His Glory.  I know of no other method or way that will provoke him to jealousy.  I realize that answering this call requires complete abandonment of one’s self to the Holy One of Israel.  And while this call goes out to everyone in the Church it is not for everyone.  Many are called but few are chosen.  I do not believe that the LORD holds anything against those who choose not to accept this call.  But for those who choose the narrow path that leads to suffering, I heard the LORD say to my LORD, “Who will go for us?”

Colossians 3:3-4

3 For you have died and your life is hidden with Messiah in God. 4 When Messiah, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory. >
